The Registered Master Builders Association represents New Zealand’s premier building and construction companies – over 3,000 from across the residential and commercial sector. Through our regional branch hubs, we have an impressive network throughout the country. Each hub provides events, leadership, networking, and training for its members. Our purpose is to support our members to build a better New Zealand.
About the role
We are looking for a part-time Competition and Events Administrator, reporting to the Head of Competitions and Events.
This position is responsible for supporting the successful planning and delivery of Registered Master Builders portfolio of industry competitions and events, namely:
House of the Year (HOY)
Commercial Project Awards (CPA)
Apprentice of the Year (AOY)
Constructive - Industry conference
You will be responsible for:
Ensuring the smooth running of administrative functions to support the above events.
Coordinate with key stakeholders to confirm requirements
Assist with team and event logistics including arranging travel and accommodation
Collaborate with internal teams to meet event objectives
Skills and experience
Our ideal candidate will bring:
Administration experience.
Strong relationship builder who can communicate at all levels and represent the Master Builders brand in a positive way.
Strong eye for detail and comfortable working on multiple projects at once.
Excellent written communication skills and the ability to plan quite far ahead due to the nature of the events calendar.
A background in events or communications is advantageous but not a must.
Above all we need a result driven doer who’s not afraid to take ownership, show initiative and get stuck in.
