Introduction:
Compliance Java developer with knowledge in Java, Spring, Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration, for BARCLAYS GLOBAL SERVICE CENTRE PRIVATE LIMITED, Pune.
This position will operate across the Global Compliance Technology arm of the bank, with the aim of ensuring that all regulatory, risk and control functions within the bank comply with new or amended regulatory requirements.
We are looking to add an experienced Java Developer to our qualified and diverse development team. The candidate chosen will analyse, develop or enhance Java applications with all standard controls in agile environment. The developer will be responsible for code development and modifications with TDD approach and will work very closely with key stakeholders, leads.
What will you be doing?
• Understand and analyse requirements, provide estimations
• Develop Surveillance components in Java, Spring, Shell scripts etc.
• Follow TDD approach to ensure good code coverage
• Stringent Adherence to AGILE Methodologies
• Discuss with leads, BA team to resolve any ambiguities or doubts
• Deploy and test developed components on lower environments and prepare PROD releases
• Undertake DevOps Initiatives
• Timely revisit, review and improvise processes to optimize
What we're looking for:
• Minimum Bachelors or equivalent degree from a recognized university
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in core Java development using TDD
• Very good understanding of writing and debugging of multithreaded code
• Experience in Spring, Hibernate and build automation tools like maven
• Strong understanding of Systems Development Lifecycle
• Experience with CI and build tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins
• Good understanding of SCM tools like GIT, Perforce etc.
• Quick learner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills and should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Familiarity with Finance or Surveillance applications (Actimize, Mantas, SMARTS)
• Understanding of UI development using frameworks like Angular
• Exposure to MQ
• Experience of working with the Compliance/Risk function within an Investment Bank
• Ability to work closely with technical teams to find both technical and procedural solutions
• Ability to manage daily tasks independently
