It’s an eciting time to join ING, Australia’s most recommended bank, for the 3rd year running and we’re looking for an eperienced Compliance Manager –Conduct, Ethics & Marketing within the Compliance team.
In this role you will manage risks arising from Unfair Customer Treatment, Conflicts of Interest, Market Conduct, Anti- Competition, Organisational Conduct and help ING manage risks arising from our norms, attitudes and behaviors related to risk awareness, risk-taking and risk management. The role of a Compliance Manager is instrumental in further enhancing and embedding of the compliance risk management culture within ING by providing commercially minded compliance advice to our business lines.
You will keep track/oversight of the local implementation of all local regulatory requirements and ING compliance by means of issue tracking, monitoring, Risk Dashboards and other risk specific reporting (regulatory and internal reporting) to internal stakeholders, including ING’s Head Office Compliance function. Reporting to the Team Leader – CCE, you will be proactive in managing the development, maintenance, review and continuous improvement of ING’s ASIC reporting and its breach management policies and procedures.
Specifically for this role we are looking for a senior compliance professional who understands retail banking products and the rules and regulations around marketing those products to Australian customers and can structure that advice to senior business stakeholders.

What you’ll do
Advising on marketing collateral and campaigns
Advising on issues relating to ING’s AFSL, ACL and ADI licenses
Providing SME advice and support to business partners on regulatory and industry code obligations (eg ASIC Act, Corporations Act, NCCP Act and Spam Act)
Providing compliance support to projects
Building and maintaining a database of best practice advice to support the CCE team in providing high quality consistent advice
Provide support to the Advisory team including continuous improvement of process and procedures
Providing advice on improvement of compliance processes and procedures including ASIC reporting and Fit & Proper assessment procedures
What we’re looking for
10+ years of relevant e
perience in compliance or consulting roles in the financial services industry
E
perience working for either ASIC or APRA would be highly desirable
Strong influencing skills and ability to ensure optimal outcomes are achieved whilst managing stakeholder e
pectations
E
cellent understanding of operational risks and control frameworks in retail Banking
E
perience in investigations into non-compliance with financial sector legislation, specifically root cause analysis
Ability to lead investigations and provide a high standard of written / verbal communication to senior leadership
Sound analytical skills and the ability to make decisions, critically assess and determine appropriate action in time pressured environments
The ability to drive positive risk culture practices and e
perience of this in team leadership
Solid understanding of relevant legislation
