As our new Compliance Manager, you’ll be based at our global headquarters and collaborate with stakeholders across APAC, LATAM, EMEA, and North America. The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to support the enhancement of our global ethics and compliance management framework. You’ll play a key role in designing and embedding the framework across Cochlear’s global operations, ensuring alignment with regulatory obligations and industry best practices.
This is a critical role for a compliance professional with deep expertise in operations, governance, and framework design, who thrives in a complex, matrixed environment and is passionate about driving ethical business practices.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of a global compliance framework.
Provide expert guidance on compliance topics including anti-bribery & corruption, sanctions, and conflicts of interest.
Partner with business units, risk & assurance, and regional legal teams to embed compliance into operations.
Lead the development and rollout of compliance policies, training, communications, and monitoring programs.
Conduct compliance risk assessments and oversee investigations, audits, and remediation activities.
Monitor global regulatory developments and proactively address emerging compliance risks.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in compliance processes using technology and data analytics.
Report to senior management and governance committees on program effectiveness and risk mitigation.
About You
You’re a strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach and a passion for compliance. You bring:
5+ years’ experience in risk management, compliance, legal, audit, or regulatory affairs—ideally within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
Strong knowledge of compliance and governance frameworks.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to assess and prioritise risks.
Proven ability to embed compliance programs in complex environments.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
High ethical standards, sound judgement, and a strong business mindset.
