Education and Social Participation | Little Collins Street (HQ) | Maximum Term - Full-time
Full-time Maximum Term position to 31 August 2026, based at our Little Collins location
Support AMES Australia's compliance and continuous improvement in education delivery by managing regulatory and contractual standards, maintaining the Student Management System for performance reporting, and collaborating with staff and subcontractors to enhance processes and implement changes
Annual salary is $79,627 + 12% super

About the role:
The Compliance and Quality Improvement Officer is responsible for ensuring adherence to education contract requirements and regulatory standards through audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves maintaining and enhancing the Student Management System (STRATA), supporting data integrity and reporting, coordinating internal and external audits, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement compliance changes and improve education delivery. The role also contributes to curriculum development, professional learning, and system upgrades, while providing training and support to staff to ensure consistent and effective practices across all education programs.
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
Diploma in Business or related field; and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position OR
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position, including some experience in the Education sector
Strong knowledge and understanding of Skills First, AMEP and SEE funding programs and compliance requirements
Strong knowledge and understanding of requirements for Validation / Moderation Activities, and Government Funded Body requirements against ASQA Delegate Standards and ASQA Standards
Good interpersonal and critical thinking skills, including the ability to resolve issues innovatively
Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve a desired outcome
Demonstrated written communication and report writing skills
Demonstrated ability to generate qualitative and quantitative data for internal and external audiences
Demonstrated ability to generate and review analytics to identify trends, emerging issues and forecast issues
Strong Customer Service skills with the capability to deal effectively with internal stakeholders
Understanding of compliance and quality principles
Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel (intermediary or advanced level), PowerPoint, databases, web applications and the ability to learn and train others in the use of Information Systems
Demonstrated positive values of integrity, reliability, teamwork and professionalism and demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement principles
