Job Title: Independent Contractor (IC) Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Independent Contractor (IC) Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be joining a team responsible for managing and maintaining the independent contractor screening process, risk management and operations globally. The ideal candidate will come from a paralegal or employment-related compliance background with a strong understanding of worker classification rules, Master Services Agreements (MSAs) or contracts in general , legal clauses, freelancer agreements, and have experience working with Agency of Record (AOR) relationships.

Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the compliance of independent contractor relationships across the EMEA and APAC regions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and contractual agreements.
Review and negotiate Master Services Agreements (MSAs), freelancer agreements, and other legal documents.
Develop and. maintain relationships with independent contractors, ensuring clear communication and understanding of expectations.
Work closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and HR departments, to ensure alignment on contractor management processes and procedures.
Provide guidance and support to internal teams on IC engagement processes and best practices.
Monitor contractor performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations related to independent contractor management globally. in the EMEA and APAC regions .
Analyze and report on contractor utilization, performance, and cost metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency in IC management.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field.
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in independent contractor compliance and or contract administration .
Strong background in paralegal work with a focus on contract management and negotiation.
Excellent understanding of worker classification concepts and application, Master Services Agreements (MSAs), legal clauses, and freelancer agreements.
Familiarity with Agency of Record (AOR) relationships is preferred.
Familiarity with freelance management platforms is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software
