Lab Technician/Technical Assistant Job Description
The role of a Lab Technician/Technical Assistant involves providing technical support to the department, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of laboratories.
Main Responsibilities:
• Maintain computer lab infrastructure, including hardware and software installations.
• Inspect lab equipment and systems for functionality and maintain inventory of lab assets.
• Assist faculty and students during practical classes and troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.
• Provide system updates, installations, and configurations as needed.
Key Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar technical/lab support role.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, networking, servers, and system configuration.
• Familiarity with programming environments, IDEs, and simulation tools.
