The Opportunity:

Multiple Part-Time positions available, this role includes scheduled daytime hours and may include evening hours | Fixed-Term contract of employment until 31-12-2026
TL $89,536 - $126,983 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Chadstone Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport


The Centre for Cyber Security and Digital Information Technology at Holmesglen provides cutting-edge education and training in the rapidly evolving fields of cyber security, digital technologies, and information systems. This faculty plays a key role in preparing students for careers in IT by offering a range of programs that equip them with the skills and knowledge required to tackle real-world challenges in the digital landscape. The faculty is committed to delivering high-quality, industry-relevant courses that ensure students are not only proficient in technical skills but also prepared to address the complexities of modern digital environments.

This is a hands-on and rewarding role where you’ll design and deliver training that inspires, using a variety of innovative teaching and assessment methods tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. You'll also take the lead in developing learning resources and assessment tools that support excellence in delivery. By building strong connections with industry and key stakeholders, you'll ensure our programs remain relevant and impactful. Your collaborative approach and commitment to outstanding student support will also see you actively involved in course coordination and departmental initiatives that contribute to the success of both students and the wider faculty.


As a Computing and Information Technology Teacher, you will:

Develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies and methodologies to meet and support the diverse needs of students, fostering an inclusive learning environment for all students including those of diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities.
Develop high quality teaching resources and assessment materials and teach in a range of agreed units, subjects and courses in a variety of learning modes and across a range of locations. Liaise as appropriate with industry and the community to develop and customise training appropriate to client requirements.
Participate in the delivery of teaching and educational services to industry including workplace visits, assessment of training needs, development of training plans and the effective delivery of courses.
Provide pre-course advice to students and participate in student selection, induction and marketing events such as Open Days, Information nights and Expos. Provide or arrange additional educational support for individual students as identified in the pre-training review and plan, implement and evaluate teaching and learning strategies to support student progress.
Contribute to departmental evaluation and continuous improvement processes, participate in student administration procedures and undertake operational duties associated with course development, marketing and delivery.


To be successful, you’ll have:

An approved degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed; and
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40122 or TAE40116 or TAE40110) or its successor; or
An approved diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education or vocational education and training; or
A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials:
TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set, or
TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor, or
TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor.
Current licences necessary to practice, or registration and/or membership of a relevant industry association where applicable.
WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
