The role:
As we embark on opening brand-new and engaging retail spaces across Australia, we welcome applications for Concession Managers to lead the teams at our NEW David Jones Carousel site, opening in September 2026.
Our Store team have a wealth of passion, energy, confidence and drive to build lasting relationships, meet sales targets, and delight our customers at every opportunity. In this role, you are an integral part of a successful team: maximising sales, and leading day-to-day operations of the store, while ensuring our customers receive considered service and styling, making their experience effortless.
This is a part-time leadership role, working a two-week rotational roster (every second full weekend off!) across select key trading hours (20-25 hours/week).
As a Concession Manager, you build and drive a customer-focused culture through leading by example: acting as a passionate brand ambassador for the Yarra Trail and Brand Collective businesses. You use data and insights for growth opportunities, and you develop effective relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
To achieve the above, you:
Coach, connect with, and develop your team to achieve business goals and an exceptional customer experience
Have ‘operational excellence’ front of mind when handling products, visual merchandising and considerations for loss prevention management
Actively maintain a safe place to work with a focus on promoting wellbeing
Recruit, select and train team members who embody Yarra Trail values
Build strong relationships with the in-store David Jones team to leverage sales driving, VM and marketing opportunities.
You bring to the team:
Concession or boutique store retail leadership experience
Enthusiasm for creating modern, authentic service experience for our customers
Familiarity with styling outfits that leave customers feeling relaxed, confident and tailored to their needs
Experience with stock control and VM (comfortability in lifting up to 10kg unassisted)
Capabilities in training, coaching and mentoring team members, alongside driving and exceeding KPI's
Excellent time management skills
Experience communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
