Join our team as the Concierge Supervisor (Bell Captain) at The Star Brisbane.
The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.
This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.
The Concierge Supervisor, who reports to the Chief Concierge, plays a pivotal role in guaranteeing guest satisfaction. You are the initial point of contact for arrivals and oversee the smooth handling of guest luggage and vehicle arrivals and departures within the hotel. Your primary responsibilities include enhancing customer service whilst boosting the performance of your team members to create an elevated guest experience.
A few of your responsibilities
Lead the Hotel Porter and Doorman to ensure that the team's daily operations foster positive guest relations and create a welcoming environment
Co-ordinate the arrival and departure of guests with the delivery and collection of their luggage
Provided accurate information on services and facilities available within the property as well as informing our guests with what’s happening in and around Brisbane
Foster a positive working relationships across all departments at The Star Brisbane
Assist the Chief Concierge in rostering, training and communications
What we will be looking for
Strong organisation and time management skills
Experience as a Bell Captain or similar position within a five-star property desirable
At least one year's experience leading a team
QLD Drivers licence with a clean driving record required
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
About you
You will be an experienced hotel professional with prior porter experience who is proficient in Opera PMS. You should be deeply passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and possess a proven track record of leading and developing successful teams. Your approach should be collaborative and welcoming, and you should recognise the significance of instilling this culture within the team
You will have a demonstrated understanding of relevant industry regulatory requirements with experience ensuring these requirements are met as part of your ways of working.
