The primary purpose of the role is to provide a high level of service in the construction and maintenance of infrastructure in line with Council’s delivery and operational plans.

Key Accountabilities:

Assist in the delivery of concrete works including but not limited to site preparation, formwork and reinforcement and pouring and placement of concrete

Assist in the delivery of drainage works including but not limited to trenching, laying pipes, backfilling and construction of drainage structures

Read and interpret basic construction plans, set out works from reference points fixed by others and carry out ongoing checks of accuracy

Finish concrete to a high standard using hand tools and mechanical finishing machines

Use and maintain small plant and hand tools in a safe and effective manner

Maintain effective and timely communication with your supervisor, team and other colleagues or members of the public to ensure safe completion of quality outcomes within set timeframes, maintaining a customer service attitude at all times

About You

We are looking for a motivated individual who is not afraid to get their hands dirty. Someone who has -

Strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work

Passion for the community and delivering positive outcomes

The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team

We are seeking someone who has or is willing to obtain:

SafeWork Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card)

Current Class MR Driver Licence

SafeWork approved certificate for Traffic Controller

About the Role

Full time: 76-hour fortnight

Salary: Range from $54,288 to $62,431 pa + 11.5% super
