Job Description

InfraBuild is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Newcastle Rod Mill as a Condition Monitoring Technician. In this role, you’ll be a key player in maintaining and improving plant reliability, focusing on Condition-Based Health Analysis of equipment using tools like Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, and Thermography. This position offers career progression and opportunity to take full ownership of the entire condition monitoring process from start to finish, seeing the rewards and positive impact on plant performance.

You’ll also have the chance to apply and develop your trade or technical background while learning alongside a skilled and experienced team.

Responsibilities Include

Maintaining and promoting a strong safety focus
Manage, implement, and improve vibration, lubrication and thermography based predictive maintenance programs, including maintenance of condition monitoring tools and systems
Plan and execute CM data collection and analysis as per schedule
Record CM findings and report on defects found in a timely manner using reporting system
Recommend actions based on interpretation of condition monitoring data using CMMS i.e. SAP
Build relationships and provide technical support to the maintenance and operations teams

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualification and/or a reliability engineering background
Previous experience in Condition Monitoring and lubrication (preferred, but trade backgrounds are welcome)
ISO Vibration Analysis Category 1 (VCAT1) or higher certification
Basic SAP or equivalent CMMS experience
Familiarity with safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Hazard Analysis and Take 5’s
Strong initiative and be self-driven with a passion for results
Ability to develop positive relationships and work within a team / team environment
