We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Conference Event Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing conferences from start to finish.
Responsibilities
• Gaining a high-level understanding of any given market and researching potential conference ideas and competitive events
• Analysing the feasibility of developing potential conference topics into commercially viable events and identifying the target audience for a given conference idea and the most marketable angle on this topic
• Writing content, marketable conference programmes based on research and determining the validity of proposed topic, sub-themes, timing and location through secondary research and telephone research
• Identifying, approaching and confirming suitable speakers for the conferences, scheduling and leading calls with C-level executives to join as speakers and finalizing their presentation subjects, negotiating speaker agreements and managing workload and multitasking to hit deadlines
• Liaising with speakers throughout the conference production cycle, ensuring constant communication and avoiding speaker dropouts, negotiating speakers expenses where necessary and ensuring speakers are briefed on the required content of their presentation
• Collaborating with sales, marketing, operations and other business units to ensure alignment with event strategy and delivery, overseeing design of the conference brochure and taking a strategic view of the positioning of the conference
