Job Description
Your New Role:
As a Configuration Specialist, you will support the configuration management of complex engineering projects across the defence lifecycle. Working closely with the Configuration Management Lead and engineering teams, you will ensure that product structures, baselines, and engineering data are controlled, traceable, and compliant.
This role is well-suited to someone who is detail‑focused, process‑driven and motivated by working in a highly regulated engineering environment. This role can be worked from our Melbourne Offices or Avalon Facility.
As a Configuration Specialist, you will:
Support configuration management activities across engineering projects.
Manage product and design configurations using Enovia PLM.
Control identification, release and revision of configuration items.
Support configuration audits and baseline validation activities.
Manage engineering changes within the configuration management system.
Ensure compliance with approved configuration processes and plans.
Engage stakeholders locally and internationally to resolve configuration issues.
What you’ll bring:
Experience with Configuration Management tools (Enovia PLM preferred).
Strong attention to detail with a structured, process‑oriented mindset.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
It would be great if you also have:
Experience in defence, automotive or other regulated industries.
Exposure to military standards or vehicle development programs.
Technical or trade qualifications.
Strong stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills.
Eligibility
To be successful in this role, you will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security clearance up to NV1 (must be an Australian Citizen). Eligibility criteria can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
