Connaught Elementary School
Connaught Elementary is a Pre-K to grade 3 school where inclusion matters and the needs of students are at the centre of everything. We are a tight-knit place with a great deal of community spirit. Summary of Position
This posting is for a Permanent ELIS Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Educational Assistant Positions at Connaught Elementary School, commencing August 26, 2026. Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. The successful applicant will support core subject areas in both small groups and in the classroom.
Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
Post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset
The Right Person will
genuinely appreciate working with children and demonstrate patience, show empathy, and help make learning fun;
possess strong planning and organizational skills while showing initiative ;
have excellent communication skills and a willingness to work independently
be positive, enthusiastic and thrive in a team environment.
