Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our refurbishment team. As you may have seen in the local press Joseph James Furniture Outlet will be opening in the former M&S building in Golden Square on Sankey Street. We are looking for a hard-working, positive grafter to join our in-house refurb team for the 5 weeks of refurb. It will involve taking walls down, putting walls up, carpeting, painting and lifting heavy furniture.
Work Period
5th Jan - 6th Feb.
Duties
Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment on-site
Clearing debris and organising materials
Building internal walls and deconstructing internal walls
Carpeting 20,000sqft of flooring
Painting internal walls, erecting signage and decorating in other ways
Unloading lorries of furniture with the new stock for the store.
Requirements
Great attitude, enjoy the graft - this is key.
Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual tasks over extended periods
Experience in general construction
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively within a team setting
Upon successful completion of the refurb project, there will be a full-time position within our warehouse department if of interest, this will be based in our Stockport warehouse.
