Our Digital Advisory team is excited to grow the team. We are focused on delivering digital transformation for our clients, putting digital and data analytics to work to create competitive IT advantage. We do this by integrating lean principles, design thinking, advance analytics and digital technologies with our domain and industry expertise to deliver disruptive business outcomes – an approach we call Digital transformation. We deliver value to our clients in two ways – through digital-led, domain-enabled solutions that drive innovation, and through intelligent operations enabled by digital that design, transform, and run clients’ operations.
The role sits within our global business area Resilience. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Role accountabilities:
• Assisting in data extraction from multiple sources, including PDFs, images, and databases.
• Supporting optical character recognition processes for digitizing data from images.
• Assisting in understanding data through natural language processing.
• Contributing to the development of statistical models to support business decisions and monitoring their performance.
• Collaborating with business domain experts to derive business value drivers.
• Documenting model design choices, algorithm selection processes, and dependencies.
• Collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams within the CoE and the organization at large.
• Proactively seeking opportunities to contribute beyond assigned tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Fresh graduates or candidates with 0-1 year of experience as a Python Developer/ Data Scientist
• Technical Responsibilities -
• Proficiency in Python, with a focus on developing foundational skills.
• Exposure to NLP and image processing concepts.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Basic understanding of Azure deployments.
• Aptitude for OCR, ML model training, and transfer learning.
• Willingness to work with unstructured data formats such as PDFs, DOCX, and images.
• Familiarity with data science best practices and the ML lifecycle.
• Tool Exposure: Basic understanding of Power BI, KNIME, Git, Azure, Python, and R programming.
• Data mining, cleaning and engineering: Assisting in identifying and merging relevant data sources, testing data quality, and resolving data inconsistencies.
• Visualization: Supporting the visualization of data and modeling results using standard libraries.
• Data Analysis: Assisting in executing analyses against business requirements using appropriate tools and technologies.
• Software Development: Contributing to the development of reusable, version-controlled code under the guidance of senior team members.
