Job Title: Consultant Respiratory Physician
Are you an experienced and enthusiastic clinician skilled in acute general medicine keen to support the development of our Respiratory and General Medicine services, Tairawhiti (Gisborne)?
The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic healthcare team in Tairawhiti, where we are dedicated to providing high-quality medical care to our community (population 50,000) on the East coast of the North Island.
Work in a friendly, welcoming coastal city with a sunny temperate climate and outstanding beaches.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical expertise across the speciality of General Respiratory and basic Sleep Medicine, participating in the delivery of excellent patient care, research and regional expertise in line with the organisation's vision and values.
Work collaboratively with a team of general medicine physicians and subspecialists to deliver comprehensive acute medical care.
Requirements:
Medical degree and relevant board certification in Respiratory and Internal Medicine.
Either currently have or be eligible for specialist registration in New Zealand.
Experience in acute general medicine.
Proficiency in performing bronchoscopies and managing lung cancer referrals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
