Deloitte is working with global customers on cloud technologies to help unlock growth, stability, and sustainability by enabling them to spot unseen business trends through curation, transformation, and blending of data. In this exciting opportunity for an experienced developer, you will join a team delivering a transformative cloud hosted data platform for some of the world’s biggest organizations. The candidate we seek, needs to have a proven track record in implementing data ingestion and transformation pipelines on Microsoft Azure. Deep technical skills and experience with working on Azure Databricks. Familiarity with data modelling concepts and exposure to Synapse.
You will also be required to participate in stakeholder management, highlight risks, propose deliver plans and estimate for time and team size based on requirements. Hence, adequate levels of communication skills and relevant experience in handling such situations is desired.
Scope of work
Your main responsibilities will be:
Collaborate with other team members and participate in application architecture and micro services based design and implementation efforts for various client projects.
Develop, create, and document technical specifications and designs that satisfy documented business/functional requirements.
Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and technology architecture requirements for application delivery.
Participate in code reviews and provide delivery guidance that spans application domains and teams.
Write maintainable code with extensive test coverage, working in a professional software engineering environment (with source control, release cycle, and continuous deployment).
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
Been certified as an Azure Developer Associate and/or DevOps Engineer Expert.
5+ years of hands on experience in designing and developing Web and API-based technologies on . NET or .NET Core related technologies.
2+ years of project experience in software design and development on Azure with emphasis on micro services (Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Service Fabric) and serverless capabilities (Functions, Event Hub, Service Bus etc…)
Experience working in waterfall and agile based teams and environments.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps), Containers (Docker, Kubernetes), Unit Testing Framework (Jest, Enzyme, NUnit), Modern Web Programming (NodeJs, React), Code Versioning and Integration (GIT, Bitbucket, GitHub), and Security (Standard web security, Single Sign-On, and web service security using security tokens).
