Role Title: Contact Centre Clinician
Role Type: Two positions working on a 24/7 rotating roster available! Permanent Part-time (22 hours per week) & Max-term Full-time until 30 June 2026 (38 hours week)

About the Role
Deliver high-quality, person-centred counselling, brief interventions, and bio-psycho-social assessments for people who use ******* and other drugs, and concerned others, via telephone, webchat and other contact centre modalities, as part of a rotating 24/7 roster (including nights, weekends and public holidays).
Provide health education, harm minimisation advice, and evidence-based support, including advocacy, negotiation or mediation on behalf of callers when required, and coordinate referrals to internal and external service providers to ensure continuity of care.
Liaise with external agencies, represent the service at community events, maintain service directory information, and deliver outreach education relating to drug and ******* issues to other service providers and community groups.
Maintain accurate, confidential electronic records and data to support continuity of care for repeat callers, meet compliance requirements, and contribute to improved service delivery and population health insights.
Participate in regular supervision, reflective practice, clinical review, training, policy and procedure development, and ongoing professional development to enhance capability and maintain contemporary practice.
Contribute to broader ******* and Drug Service priorities, including participation in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and, where required, facilitation of therapeutic group programs as part of multidisciplinary service delivery.
About You
Relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing, counselling, social work, psychology, or a related field, with eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association.
Demonstrated relevant clinical ******* and drug experience including assessment, brief intervention, and counselling of clients with substance use problems and co-existing mental health issues.
Demonstrated understanding of contemporary approaches to ******* and drug treatment, including harm reduction, person-centred and strengths-based approaches.
Ability to identify clients’ specific needs and provide the appropriate assessments, interventions, and approaches for an effective solution.
Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills (including via telephone and typing), highly developed interpersonal skills, and a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
High-level computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and previous experience with electronic patient record systems.
