Content Creator / Marketing Assistant
We are seeking a Content Creator & Marketing Assistant to join our passionate team and elevate Fleurish’s online and offline presence. This role is ideal for a creative, driven individual with a passion for storytelling, community building, and social impact. You will assist our team in marketing efforts, develop and execute social media strategies, manage our brand image, and help expand our reach to customers, donors, and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media
Assist the Executive Director in developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Fleurish’s mission and values.
Create, schedule, and manage content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
Produce high-quality visuals, including photography, graphics, and video content, showcasing products, behind-the-scenes stories, and community impact.
Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster an online community.
Track and analyze social media performance, adjusting strategies to increase engagement and reach.
2. Marketing & Communications
Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote products, services, and events.
Write and design newsletters, blog posts, and email campaigns to engage customers and supporters.
Collaborate with the program coordinator and flower shop teams to align marketing efforts with product launches, seasonal offerings, and special events.
3. Brand Development & Storytelling
Champion Fleurish’s mission by sharing stories of our social impact, including the Fresh Start Employability and Independence Program.
Build relationships with local media, influencers, and community partners to amplify our brand.
Assist in creating marketing materials, including brochures, posters, and signage for the flower shop.
4. Fundraising & Donor Engagement
Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop campaigns that drive donations and support.
Highlight donor partnerships, including our collaborations with other community partnerships through creative storytelling.
5. Event Promotion
Promote and document Fleurish’s participation in vendor markets and community events.
Coordinate and market in-store events, workshops, and pop-ups that engage the community and support our mission.
Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years in social media experience, marketing, or a related field, preferably in a non-profit or social enterprise setting, but not necessary.
Skills:
Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
Excellent writing and communication skills with a strong eye for detail.
Photography and videography skills are an asset.
Ability to analyze data and adjust strategies for optimal performance.
Personal Attributes:
Passionate about social impact, story telling, and empowering others.
Creative, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
