Content Writer responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publication. You should be thorough in Fact-checking and optimizing written pieces provided to you by your superiors and creating and writing content around the same material.
Your role shall be producing marketing copy to advertise our products, writing blog posts about industry-related topics and promoting our content on social media
If you have excellent writing and editing skills in English and are familiar with creating and writing online content and have an eye for detail and you possess an experience managing editorial calendars, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you'll deliver quality and engaging content that appeals to our existing audiences, and will help us reach our target audience, attract customers and boost brand awareness.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
• Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
• Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
• Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
• Identify customers' needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
• Update website content as needed
• Interview industry professionals and incorporate their views in blog posts
• Edit and proofread written pieces before publication
• Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares)
• Identify customers' needs and recommend new topics
• Measure web traffic to content (e.g. conversion and bounce rates)
• Update our website and social media pages with new content
• Craft and send our monthly newsletter
• Improve illustration in collaboration with marketing and design teams
• Optimize published pieces using SEO guidelines
• Manage the editorial calendar and ensure timely publication
• Generate new ideas around industry-related topics
REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
• Portfolio of published articles
• Experience doing research using multiple sources
• Familiarity with web publications
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English & Hindi
• Conversational knowledge of Gujarati Language
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with SEO and keyword research
• Team spirit
• An ability to fact-check long-form content pieces
• Time-management skills
• BSc in Marketing, English, Journalism or relevant field
