Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Editor/Author/Content Developer for KG to Class 8 books is responsible for creating, reviewing, and editing educational content that aligns with curriculum standards. The role involves developing engaging, age-appropriate, and pedagogically sound content for subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and other disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Development & Writing:
2. Develop high-quality, engaging, and age-appropriate educational content.
3. Ensure that the content aligns with curriculum standards (NCERT, CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, or international curricula).
4. Create well-structured textbooks, workbooks, activity books, teacher guides, and digital learning materials.
5. Develop creative exercises, worksheets, and assessments for better student engagement.
6. Editing & Proofreading:
7. Edit and proofread manuscripts for grammar, clarity, consistency, and educational accuracy.
8. Ensure factual correctness, readability, and adherence to grade-level language proficiency.
+. Check for alignment with learning objectives and pedagogy.
10. Illustration & Design Coordination:
11. Work closely with designers and illustrators to ensure that visuals complement the text.
12. Provide guidance on image selection, placement, and layout for better comprehension.
13. Research & Curriculum Alignment:
14. Research educational trends, child psychology, and best teaching practices.
15. Align content with 21st-century skills, competency-based learning, and NEP guidelines (if applicable).
16.Incorporate interactive elements like storytelling, case studies, and real-life applications.
17. Collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) & Educators:
18. Coordinate with teachers, curriculum developers, and subject experts for content validation.
1+. Gather feedback from educators to refine and enhance content quality.
20. Digital Learning & E-Learning Material Development (if applicable):
21. Develop content for e-books, online platforms, and multimedia learning materials.
22. Work on interactive quizzes, animations, and gamified learning modules.
23. Adherence to Publishing Timelines & Guidelines:
24. Ensure timely submission of manuscripts and revisions.
25. Follow publishing house guidelines and style manuals.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Educational Qualification:
² Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education, English, Science, Mathematics, Social Science, or a related field.
² Ph.d./B.Ed./M.Ed. is an added advantage.
² Experience:
² 8-10 years of experience in educational publishing, curriculum development, or content writing.
² Experience in K-8 education sector preferred.
Skills:
² Excellent command of language and subject matter.
² Strong editing, proofreading, and research skills.
² Understanding of child psychology and learning methodologies.
² Ability to create engaging and innovative educational content.
² Familiarity with curriculum frameworks like NCERT, CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, or IB.
² Knowledge of digital learning tools.
