We are looking for an ambitious Content Editor who understands the news cycle and how content marketing campaigns can drive digital organic performance.
Responsibilities
Ideating, sourcing, reporting and writing high-quality original content for casino-based platforms
Editing and publishing commissioned news articles daily and in a timely fashion to maximise commercial goals and company strategies
Generating new leads and contacts to develop new stories both locally and nationally for the land-based and online casinos industry
Working with management and other editors and producers to develop a strategy and schedule for content across various websites to align with company KPIs and strategic goals
Continually suggesting new and exciting ways to engage and form relationships through development of content
Working with stakeholders and product owners to deliver original content that aligns with content calendar, news requirements, product updates and website development
Ideating, reporting and occasionally writing high-quality original content
Upload and manage content within the CMS to ensure accuracy and consistency
Data sourcing and analysis
Outreaching occasional campaigns and news stories to journalists
Optimise copy and data within content created using knowledge of SEO and internal company SEO teams, persuasion or branding, depending on the occasion
Requirements
2+ years of experience writing and editing copy for a wide array of marketing.
Interest in gambling, sports betting, casino games and entertainment.
Experience managing writers.
Experience in editing and publishing management across SEO content.
An excellent writer and communicator.
Experienced in working within digital content writing, bonus if in Gambling industry
Flawless writer with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated experience in content management systems.
Demonstrated experience in creating content and editorial products.
Understanding of SEO best practices for growing onsite traffic.
Basic knowledge of HTML
Bonus: Existing audience on Twitter or other social platforms
Desirable Skills
Have a journalistic background and/or worked on a news desk
Are efficient with tools for crafting copy / transcription / improving general workflow efficiency
Are familiar with submitting FOI's, briefing in surveys and a variety of research methods to achieve desired outcomes
Are either huge sports fans or love the entertainment industry (video games, reality tv, popular drama's, movies, music)
Knowledgeable of conversion-oriented copywriting tactics
Experience with common SEO and digital marketing tools i.e. Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs
