Job Description
The candidate is expected to perform the following tasks:
• Check for and correct any typographical, grammatical, punctuation, and spelling mistakes and correct the same. Improve the readability and flow of the content.
• Improve the sentence structure clarity, smoothness, coherence, and consistency by line-by-line editing.
• Ensure that the content has high quality standards and is in-line with the brand image of the business.
• Ensure consistent adherence to the given formatting requirements (which may relate to the layout, margins, typography, headings, tables, figures, lists, etc.), as well as referencing requirements.
• Use logical skills to ensure that the graphs, ppts, diagrams, and charts are in sync with the report.
• Provide the authors of the manuscript with critical, constructive, and courteous feedback regarding the form as well as the content of their writing.
• Set publication standards and establish goals and expectations.
• Review and approve client reports and other collaterals.
• Perform quality checks and give feedback to the concerned analyst daily.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills Required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of digital publishing, content management, and social media platforms.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
• Understanding of different forms such as British or American English
• Exceptional knowledge of grammar and ability to explain edits to authors
• Reading comprehension - Understanding written content in work-related documents
• Strong listening, analytical skills, and willingness to learn
• Good knowledge of MS Office, specifically MS Word
• Ability to manage multiple projects with quick turnaround times and ability to follow deadlines
Qualifications
• 2-3 year(s) of experience in content editing/writing
• Proficiency in English (reading & writing)
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent diploma. (Media/English graduates preferred.)
• Finance domain knowledge would be an advantage
