1.Why You Want to Work at BoardOutlook

1.1 We Work With the People Who Shape the World

BoardOutlook is a high-growth SaaS company helping the boards and executive teams of the world’s most important organizations make better decisions. We work with FTSE100 and ASX50 companies, major government departments, and influential Chairs and CEOs.

As we grow, we’re looking for a Content Lead who can shape how we show up to the world — someone who combines strategic clarity with creative instinct, and who’s excited to work directly with our founders to tell bold, clear, high-trust stories.

You’ll lead narrative development across web, social, media, and proof points — and you’ll do it using AI-first workflows to scale quality content with speed and precision.

If you love writing, thinking, editing, and shaping messages that matter — this is your role.

1.2 Working at BoardOutlook

We operate with five core values:

We generously invest in each other

We’re ambitious and optimistic

We prioritise simplicity

We execute with urgency

We operate with high attention to detail

2.About This Role

2.1 Role Overview

This is a hands-on, high-trust content leadership role — ideal for someone who knows how to take an idea from rough sketch to world-class execution.

You’ll shape the external voice of a product that operates at the intersection of governance, leadership and organisational performance - and write for an audience of Chairs, Non-executive Directors and CEOs who value substance over flash.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

Clear, compelling writing skills

The ability to shape voice and narrative across multiple channels

Experience with or appetite for themes like governance, strategy, and leadership effectiveness

A strong belief that AI + human editing is the future of content creation

You’ll lead and execute:

A full rewrite of our website

High-impact case studies and proof points

Founder-led content (e.g. LinkedIn, keynote scripts, thought pieces)

A coordinated content calendar across web, social, and PR

Our editorial voice across earned media and partner channels

You’ll work closely with the CEO and collaborate across Sales, Product, and Marketing.

2.2 What Will You Be Doing?

1. Shape Our Voice & Narrative

Work with the CEO and senior team to craft the external voice of the business

Write or co-write thought leadership content — including founder posts, articles, and scripts

Refine tone and messaging to resonate with senior executive and board audiences

2. Own the Website Rewrite

Lead a full editorial refresh of the BoardOutlook marketing site

Create clear, compelling messaging that reflects the product, vision, and buyer personas

Partner with design and marketing to ship a cohesive, best-in-class site

3. Create Client Case Studies & Proof

Interview internal teams and clients to develop sharp, credible case studies

Translate complex themes like culture, governance, or performance into human stories

Build a reusable content library for sales, marketing, and partnerships

4. Build and Run a Strategic Content Calendar

Own the end-to-end planning and production rhythm for LinkedIn, blog, PR, and brand content

Coordinate with the broader team to align on product launches, campaigns, and partner moments

Ensure a consistent, high-output cadence across founder and company channels

5. Execute AI-First Content Workflows

Use tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Notion AI, etc., to draft, edit, summarise, and repurpose

Build repeatable workflows to scale high-quality content without bottlenecks

Stay at the edge of what’s possible in AI with human-in-the-loop content production

6. Lead PR and Editorial Messaging

Write and edit media commentary, speaker bios, and announcement copy

Work with agency or internal teams to drive earned media

Ensure message consistency across awards, interviews and thought leadership

3. About You

3.1 What You Bring

Must-Have Experience:

5–10+ years in editorial, brand, content strategy, or communications

Exceptional writing and editing skills — from headlines to longform

Experience shaping voice and tone for a founder, executive, or brand

A strong belief in AI-accelerated content creation — and confidence using tools daily

Able to distill complexity into clarity - and speak credibly to boards and execs

Ability to own a content calendar and drive publishing rhythm

Strategic clarity paired with hands-on execution: you’re comfortable thinking and doing

Comfortable working independently and collaborating across time zones

4. Location

Part-time role based in Melbourne or London (2 days a week)

Hybrid working with at least 1 day a week in office

5. Compensation

UK: £70–80,000 (full time equivalent)
