About the role

Reporting to the Editor, the Digital Content Producer is responsible for driving audience, engagement and reach by creating a wide range of content from viral to evergreen, for success via social and SEO.

Their primary role is to source, write, build and publish on-brand content that grows audience, traffic, volume and brand awareness for the digital platforms of their brand.

This role would suit a journalist with a passion for entertainment and lifestyle content. The Digital Content Producer will be responsible for writing an average of five stories per day across entertainment, real life, beauty, fashion and more. This includes a mix of news, features, SEO-led pieces and shoppable content. They will also be responsible for creating unique, original content for the brand’s social platforms and EDM. An ability to create TikTok and Reels content is a bonus, though training will be provided.

Experience using analytics tools to create data-informed content is a bonus, but not crucial (training provided). What is more important is a passion for the brands, a strong eye for stories that will resonate with our audiences, and an ability to meet deadlines.

Duties

Ideating, pitching and creating well-written, on brand content that is original and drives audiences and traffic.
Creating shoppable content in line with the companies’ content commerce KPIs.
Researching and liaising with talent for stories.
Conducting interviews.
Using analytics and data to drive insights to inform content choices.
Liaising with content creators in the business to repurpose existing content from other platforms/brands.
Content creation for Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
Creating and sending branded EDMs
Sharing insights with the social and multimedia teams
Skills and experience

Ability to craft an angle that will help achieve traffic goals; write with exceptional punctuation and grammar; and deliver on deadline.
Confident in pitching exclusive and original content.
Ability to work independently when needed but support the Digital Managing Editor and wider team in achieving traffic goals.
Solid interpersonal skills.
