Role opportunity
In this exciting opportunity, you’ll be responsible for managing and implementing LGA’s marketing and communications strategies across our digital channels to promote the work of the LGA and develop audience-led content.
In this role you will:
Implement LGA’s content strategy across our digital channels, including website, socials, newsletters and paid ad campaigns, using digital best practices and analytics to inform our content decisions.
Manage content across the LGA’s social media channels, including maintaining a content schedule, monitoring and responding to comments and evaluating performance.
Support the creation of communication strategies and write, produce and edit content for news articles, website updates, social media and other digital channels.
Execute and coordinate an annual marketing and content schedule by working with LGA staff and member councils, researching and planning content for digital channels, identifying talents and trends and building a bank of stories for LGA’s social media and websites.
Develop advertising and marketing plans, providing advice on opportunities to maximise reach, better target audiences and optimise campaign performance.
Support the broader marketing and communications team with events, project and campaign work, sponsorships and awards programs, and ensure this work is leveraged and promoted across our digital channels.
About you
You’ll bring a passion for communications and developing digital content, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, simple and audience-focused communications.
You will need:
Proven experience in managing and producing content for digital channels including social media, websites and newsletters.
Proven experience working in a marketing and communications team, with a focus on producing high-quality and best practice strategies and content.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in digital marketing and communications including social media, advertising campaigns, brand management and maintenance of websites.
Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, social media or relevant discipline.
Strong team player who collaborates, shares and exemplifies LGA values.
