Pepper Content (www.peppercontent.io) is building a global content marketplace that brings companies and content creators together to scale up content creation processes across 75+ content verticals and 150+ content categories. Over the past 5 years, over 100,000+ freelance content creators have applied to be part of the Pepper network of which we work with the top 5% of talent, and on the other end - we work with over 2500+ customers like Amazon, Adobe, Google, HDFC Bank, Adani, and the majority of the startup ecosystem.
We are looking to hire a Lead Content Strategist to develop and execute content and communication strategies for enterprise accounts. The content strategist's responsibilities will include determining the problem areas for a brand, understanding the objective and customer journeys, and directing a way forward via content to increase brand awareness and retention.
Job Responsibilities:
• Developing clear and engaging content strategies and plans that are consistent with the company's brand image and address both business goals and consumer needs.
• Analyzing content marketing data to identify trends and anticipate consumer needs.
• Performing content audits to assess how well existing content is performing.
• Performing content gap analyses to determine what type of content is missing and what is needed.
• Managing, directing, and delegating the team of in-house and freelance strategists.
• Creating, adjusting, and managing the editorial calendar.
• Establishing style guides that specify the writing style and tone needed to create engaging content.
• Leading content workshops for brands and developing a solid understanding of the target audience through online and traditional market research.
The ideal candidate must:
• A strong content management background with a minimum of 3+ years of experience.
• Proven content strategy and project management experience.
• Industry know-how - experience in BFSI, FMCG, and D2C brands and should have a good understanding of how different industries work
• Good understanding of SEO tools
• Spearheaded client meetings for strategy, brainstorming, and planning.
• Passionate about learning, bringing in industry insights, and capable of leading large projects/large companies/Enterprises
• Minimum 3 years experience in leading a team.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills.
