Job Description
The role
As a Content Writer for Budget Direct, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of all Budget Direct products and communicate Product Disclosure Statements (PDS) and other financial services documents in easy-to-read natural language across various media, including the website, blog content, and other marketing collateral.
Research and write high-quality content for Budget Direct and Auto & General websites and blogs.
Ensure content aligns with brand, style, tone, and is optimised for search and user experience.
Assist Pricing, Underwriting, and Compliance teams in communicating regulatory changes.
Incorporate SEO elements into written content.
Collaborate with design and development teams for targeted content creation.
Review and edit content for readability.
Stay updated on insurance, SEO, and content marketing trends.
Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and statutory requirements.
Develop content ideas based on business priorities and team input.
What experience you’ll bring
Journalism or communications qualifications (desirable, not essential).
Proven editorial skills with a portfolio in financial services writing.
Excellent command of English.
Proficient in both long-form and real-time content creation.
Ability to translate complex information for various audiences.
Capable of working with cross-functional teams or independently.
Project management skills for editorial schedules and deadlines.
Strong results focus.
Knowledge of eCommerce.
