Job Description
This role involves:
- Content Writer's responsibilities include writing content in different formats, conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publishing.
- Writing creative copies for Google Ads, Website, Social media platforms and all digital needs.
- The ideal candidate must possess a flair for writing across different formats of content, both for conventional media and social media platforms.
- It is essential to have strong communication insight, an eye for detail, good command of grammar and spelling and the ability to create content that delights readers.
- Analytical thinking - can be creative and can translate out of the box ideas into attractive digital copies.
- Important to understand brands, keep track of news and developments and be generally aware of the world around us
For the generation of content, day-to-day duties typically would include:
Research industry-related topics
Write stories, scripts, content for infographics, blogs, posts, rich content, features
Prepare well-structured drafts
Work with CMS to upload and publish content
Proofread and edit content before publication
Put together presentations
Coordinate with software and design teams
Work with clients on their assignments
Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
Promote content on social media
Identify customers’ needs and gaps in content and recommend new topics
Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
Create content plans
Competencies and Skills Required
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
Portfolio of published articles
Experience doing research using multiple sources
Familiarity with web
Excellent writing and editing skills in English
Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
Ability to meet deadlines
Must be detail-oriented and an active listener
Ability to work under pressure
Has a creative flair and can write cross-domain copies.
Ability to build knowledge of the industry and be abreast of current events
Qualifications:
1. At least 1-2 years of working within a Digital Marketing agency.
2. Relevant Content writing experience.
3. Minimum of a Master's Degree( in English or a marketing/ management
