CONTENT WRITER
Job Summary
At Iksula, we are looking to hire a dynamic, self-driven individual for the Content Writer position.
This individual would be part of a large editorial team in an organization which serves brands and
retailers globally as a leading e-commerce solutions provider.
The hired candidate will write content in different formats for multiple product categories. The
person will learn the ropes of e-commerce writing while also perfecting their command over
English language through constant critical feedback and editor-level training.
Responsibilities
The writer would write short product copies, long descriptions, and features for a range of
product categories. Categories may include electronics, home furnishing, home
improvement, mom and baby apparels, books, and more.
She/he would be required to either write fresh content based on salient features of the
product or enrich existing content.
For thoroughness of content and to ensure factual accuracy, the writer would check
multiple websites and product pages and filter information relevant to the product.
The writer may have to work on multiple projects in a day and be able to switch between
different guidelines and forms of writing, also making sure the deadlines are met for each
project.
The writer would need to constantly communicate with the editor/other internal
stakeholders to ensure any given feedback is implemented in full.
As the writer may need to work remotely, she/he would fill all the required editorial
trackers on an hourly/daily basis as per team guidelines.
On gaining experience and completing probationary period, this seasoned writer would
now train other new writers and provide support to the editorial function.
Qualifications/Skills
Graduate/post-graduate in any field
Experience In E-commerce Industry Is Preferred
Should have knowledge of English language and grammar: sentence structure, practical
grammar concepts, and correct use of idioms and words
Can manage time and meet deadlines consistently
Should be self-motivated
Be able to work independently and without much supervision
Quick to learn and adapt
Interested in proactively communicating thoughts, ideas, and problems
Open to taking critical writing feedback from editors and senior colleagues
