Job Description
We are a dynamic Advertising Agency seeking a full-time Digital Content Specialist to craft engaging, high-quality content for our clients' marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate should be a versatile writer with a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and a keen interest in design. Experience with content management systems (CMS) is a plus. This role will primarily involve creating content for various digital channels, including Google Ads, social media platforms, blogs, and other marketing materials.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and write targeted, high-quality content for Google Ads, social media platforms, blogs, and email campaigns, collaborating with the marketing team to create tailored advertising campaigns.
• Define campaign goals, research keywords and competitive terms, write compelling ad copy, analyze results, and make recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct in-depth industry research to create original, engaging content that resonates with our target audience.
• Utilize SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines, ensuring increased organic traffic and improved search rankings.
• Proofread and edit content for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines, ensuring a cohesive brand voice, style, and tone across all content.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in content writing, SEO, and digital marketing.
• Work closely with the design team to create visually appealing content, including graphics and images for social media and advertising campaigns.
• Produce various content types, including social media posts, web content, product taglines, etc.
• Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with business goals and target audience.
• Ideate and generate new content, and develop a content calendar.
• Collaborate with the management team and others to create content for all digital channels, including websites, blogs, online communication, email, and other digital properties.
• Craft creative and persuasive copy for marketing channels such as banners, emails, SMSs, landing pages, social media ads, videos, buying guides, and more.
• Develop and execute social media strategies across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and generate leads.
• Create and curate engaging content for social media channels, including text, image, and video content.
• Monitor and analyze social media metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct keyword research to identify new content opportunities and inform content strategy.
Requirements:
• Experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Weebly, Joomla).
• Excellent understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, email marketing, and web analytics.
• An agency or tech background is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Web Content Writer with a strong portfolio of previous work.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with email marketing, from list acquisition to campaign strategy and setup in email or CRM applications.
• Strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies, and ability to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
• Stable, high-speed, fibre-optic internet connection; a webcam; and a mic.
• Experience with CMS, keyword research tools, and SEO research tools. Interest in design is a plus; familiarity with Canva is preferred.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to collaborate with a team while also working independently.
• Knowledge or experience in SEO, content development, content writing, copywriting, creative writing, social media, web content writing, SEO writing, scriptwriting, blogs, articles, proofreading, digital marketing, content editing, and Google AdWords.
• Familiarity with digital media performance marketing ads, social media content, video ads, writing for SEO, blogs, and marketplaces. Developing concepts for Google ads and youtube videos.
• Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and take on new tasks and responsibilities beyond the primary job role as needed.
