We are looking to hire a dedicated content writer to create content for blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media, and the company website. The content writer's responsibilities include evaluating analytics to adjust content as needed, regularly updating the company's website, and promoting the company blog by pitching articles to various third-party platforms. You should also be able to follow editorial guidelines when creating content.
To be successful as a content writer, you should keep abreast of the latest SEO techniques. Ultimately, a top-performing Content Writer should be able to contribute to the development of strategies that will increase reader engagement. You will need a passion for online and print content, and a commercial sensibility that helps you write for specific audiences. Job Roles & Responsibilities
1. Conduct in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to develop original content.
2. Developing content for blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media, and the company website.
3. Assisting the marketing team in developing content for advertising campaigns.
4. Proofread content for errors and inconsistencies.
5. Editing and polishing existing content to improve readability.
6. Conduct keyword research and use SEO best practices to increase traffic to the company website.
7. Create compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the target audience’s attention.
8. Identify customers’ needs and recommend new content to address gaps in the company's current content.
+. Produce well-researched content for publication online and in print.
10. Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within the deadlines.
11. Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content.
12. Communicate and cooperate with a writing team, including a content manager, editors, and web publishers.
13. Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content production team to ensure the timely delivery of materials.
14. Develop related content for multiple platforms, such as websites, email marketing, product descriptions, videos, and blogs.
15. Monitor and analyze the performance of key performance indicators (KPIs) to offer suggestions for improvement.
16. Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of a website in search results.
Functional (Technical / Experiential) Skills
1. 2-4 years of proven experience in Content writing and/or Copywriting experience.
2. Working knowledge of Content Management Systems.
3. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
4. A portfolio of published articles.
5. Excellent writing and editing skills.
6. An eye for both newsworthy angles and commercially targeted content.
7. A knack for writing short and succinct copy that keeps the reader engaged.
8. A strong understanding of how online content performs in search engines and how to apply analytics to write for audience needs.
