Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly creative and original Content Writer who can bring products to life with words, tell stories that inspire, and write with a genuine passion for fine writing instruments. This role is ideal for someone who loves to write, has an eye for luxury, and understands the delicate balance between storytelling and SEO.
This is not just another AI-powered content job. We want real writing, real creativity, and someone who enjoys using their own mind and voice.
Key Responsibilities:
Write engaging, original blog articles around pens, writing culture, gifting, stationery trends, and more
Create compelling Shopify product descriptions that convert browsers into buyers
Craft precise and persuasive meta titles, meta descriptions, and SEO content
Develop website content, brand stories, category descriptions, and marketing copy
Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional campaigns, emailers, and creatives
Proofread, fact-check, and polish content to reflect Makoba’s premium tone of voice
Write with clarity, creativity, and class—keeping Makoba’s brand values at the core
Stay updated with luxury writing trends, pen launches, and global market buzz
Innovate and pitch fresh content ideas that can bring more traffic and visibility
Help Makoba stand out & always be seen as India’s #1 voice in luxury pens and writing culture
Ideal Candidate:
1–3 years of proven writing experience (luxury/lifestyle/e-commerce domain preferred)
Exceptional command over written English; a natural flair for storytelling
Strong grasp of SEO best practices, especially in meta content
Experience writing for Shopify or e-commerce platforms is a big plus
Ability to write with minimal AI assistance—we want your original voice
Creative thinker, detail-oriented, and passionate about quality content
Knowledge or interest in fine writing instruments is an added advantage
