About the Role

We at eGovernments Foundation use technology in the form of open digital infrastructure to deliver frictionless governance to the world and enhance the lives of ordinary citizens with better access to health, sanitation, and public finance management systems. To aid this exciting transformation, eGovernments Foundation is looking for a motivated content writer who can help us with their craft of storytelling that has the power of making an impact on the world.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Bring life to stories of products, programme, and technology with a human-centric writing style.
Conceptualise and develop persuasive content for brand campaigns that can pan across various media and formats.
Compose content for key media deliverables of our various programmes, including programme brochures, case studies newsletters, and other key articles.
Be the guardian of brand language with a PoV on the language, style, and consistency that the organisation needs to adhere to.
Collaborate across teams to discuss and produce content, including research.
Keep up to date with emerging technologies and tech building blocks.
Required Skills & Experience:
4-5 years of relevant experience in content writing, copywriting, technology/product organisations, or management consulting
Bachelor or Master in a relevant field (i.e., communications, marketing, or journalism)
Ability to work independently and proactively, and with little supervision
Ability to cooperate, and empathise with a commitment to the cause
Work experience in a Start-Up will be preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at a time
Prior exposure to either the urban governance sector, public sector, development sector, or consulting or international work exposure with Governments and Multilateral donors is an added advantage
An understanding of SEO would be beneficial but not mandatory

We do this through our core offering DIGIT (Digital Infrastructure for Governance, Impact and Transformation), which is a digital public good. In run-time this translates into states, cities and commercials players using the building blocks from DIGIT to tailor solutions and programs that meet their needs and innovating on top of it to solve emerging problems.
Over the last 18 years, eGov has partnered with more than over 3 countries, 2600 towns and cities in 16 states across India, and more than 16 crore citizens have benefited from its platform.
