Our client looking for a creative content writer to join their team of Product Content Writers based in LS12 , to help power further business growth.
Package:
• £24,000 – £25,000 PA
• 37.5 hours
• Monday to Friday
• Temp to Perm
Duties:
• Listing and addition of new products to the website using our bespoke in-house CMS
• Writing engaging and exciting product copy to accompany products being listed
• Editing and creation of any supplier-provided or in-house imagery, visual assets and videos
• Liaising with external stakeholders and brands to obtain any missing product information, required assets, or to clarify any information
• Managing existing products to ensure they are up-to-date with updated copy, and that any new information or product changes are added from new brochures
• Creation of product and brand categories using SEO best practise, alongside optimised written copy
• Writing and creation of content for our blog/magazine in terms of guides, videos, and visual assets
• Support with ongoing sales and marketing campaigns in terms of email marketing, social media and more with content creation
• General housekeeping of product listings and website including out of stock information and pricing changes
Candidate:
• The ability to turn complicated and technical information into simple copy for all to understand. This includes understanding the key principles of SEO for content such as keyword research, writing meta information, and internal linking.
• Manage existing and older products to keep information fresh and up-to-date, ensuring that the latest information is always provided, and helping to mitigate customer service issues
• Opportunities to progress will be provided with the ability to take on more responsibilities in terms of additional website management tasks, assisting with other channels, and developing into a larger marketing remit will also be provided
• Excellent written communication skills including grammar, punctuation and syntax
• Strong verbal skills to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent proofreading skills and ability to check own work, since you will be listing products independently
Experience:
• Demonstrable experience and skills in the above areas would be hugely beneficial for the successful candidate.
Desirable but not essential:
• Use of SEO and keyword research tools such as Semrush
• Experience of using other Adobe software (InDesign, Fireworks, Premiere etc) or equivalent creative tools
• Any content creation experience in videography, photography, and social media creation
• Knowledge of HTML to be able to create bespoke/non-templated content
• Experience of social media management and email marketing
• Experience in any marketing or content-related role
