We are looking for a Content Writer to join the content marketing team of Bluehost.com, the largest web presence brand under the Newfold Digital family of brands.
The Content Writer responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry related topics, generating ideas for new content types proofreading and reviewing articles before publication, maintaining reports and dashboards, etc.
To be successful as a content writer, you should keep abreast of the latest SEO techniques. Ultimately, a top performing Content Writer should be able to contribute to the development of strategies that will increase reader engagement attract customers and boost brand awareness.
This is a remote role. A background in technology will be preferred but it’s not mandatory
Knowledge of WordPress ecosystem to produce WordPress related content is a plus.
If you’re familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you.
We will need to see samples of your work or portfolio of your published articles, along with your application.
What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.
• Conduct in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to develop original content
• Develop high quality content for blogs, videos, articles, white papers, etc.
• Prepare well-structured drafts using WordPress
• Write SEO friendly content with optimization of page titles, meta descriptions, etc
• Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
• Create and maintain regular reports and dashboard
Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed.
Business acumen & communication skills
• Proven work experience of 1-2 years as a Content Writer and have knowledge of SEO and how it apples to content writing
• Portfolio of published articles
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• Familiarity with WordPress is mandatory and hands-on experience with it will be a plus
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Customer-focused
• Strong collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism or related field in a plus
