Job Description
Key Responsibilities
To own the creation of product and article content for an Online Doctor service using the content strategy and SEO guidelines.
Publish error-free content on the Shopify CMS and act as the main contact for website changes.
Responsible for the use of the correct tone of voice across all content.
Report on content performance using the available tools (e.g. GA4, Google Search Console, and SEMrush) and inform changes to the content strategy.
Work with clinical and compliance teams to ensure content is clinically accurate and compliant - for example, in line with GPhC guidance and the MHRA’s Blue Guide.
Work with the wider eCommerce team to support on content for marketing channels – for example, paid marketing landing pages and email copy based on briefs provided
Support with sign off process for all copy used across website, emails, PPC and more
Work with a range of stakeholders to make reactive changes to website content - for example, out of stock updates, fulfilment changes and clinical revisions.
Experience and Qualifications
3+ years of content creation experience
2+ years of CMS experience – Shopify preferred
Very strong writing skills and a portfolio of content
Some experience using reporting tools – such as GA4 and Google Search Console
An understanding of SEO fundamentals (technical, content, links)
Team player
Highly organised with excellent project planning skills
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Driven and determined to go the extra mile for patients to deliver quality work on time
Confident and happy to take ownership of projects/campaigns to drive results
Ability to prioritise a varied workload
Strong communication and presentation skills, with a positive and friendly manner
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on an individual basis
Healthcare, wellness, or pharmaceutical sector experience
Knowledge of digital marketing channels – e.g. paid channels, eCRM, digital PR
Role Scope
To lead in researching, writing, and publishing high-quality content across a range of written formats for the Online Doctor offering. Responsible for the content required to increase Online Doctor’s organic visibility on search engines and explain the service.
