We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Sub Editor- English join our editorial team.
As a Sub Editor - English at The Better India, you will
1. Edit copies, rewrite them, make every story written by a writer a delight to read
2. Proofread, fact check, and take responsibility for the quality of content on the website, delivering on time and with perfection
3. Train writers in improved writing techniques
4. Research and introduce new content strategies that are meaningful and can help TBI tap into newer audiences, increase loyalty among current readers and engagement of the platform
5. Create systems, processes, style guides, etc. to improve the overall functioning of the editorial team
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Our ideal colleague will be
1. Someone with graduation/post graduation in mass communication/journalism and at least 5 years of experience in editing and publishing digital content.
2. Highly capable of editing articles created by the team with deadlines, ensuring error-free copies.
3. An individual with numerous story ideas that you'd like to bring to the world.
4. Someone who lives and breathes the internet, has used online content management systems like Wordpress, and is social media savvy.
5.Proven work experience as a Editor or similar role
6.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7.Highly organized and detail-oriented
8.Leadership and time management skills
