Our client is a global technology company is seeking an experienced, creative Technical Writer and Content Specialist to join their growing team.

Technical Writer/Content Specialist
Position Summary :
The technical writer will have a variety of responsibilities related to product documentation, software feature requirement definition, and generation of customer-facing documentation and content for marketing materials. The successful candidate will have technical documentation experience, creativity, and the ability to understand and describe complicated technical concepts and a portfolio of work that shows they know how to develop on-brand, human-centered content strategies.
Job Responsibilities :
- Take developer-written design deliverables and transform them into clear, polished, design documents for customers.
- Generate strategic ideas and copy that are creative, technically strong, and articulate the project problems and solutions.
- Research clients, audiences, and project details that will inform your work.
- Present copy, strategy, and supporting rationale to internal and external audiences.
- Be fluent in current industry hardware and software tools.
- Create copy and content strategy across all media print, digital, etc.
- Participate in brainstorms, critiques and reviews with insightful contributions.
- Collect and apply internal feedback to copy and strategies, refining them to meet expectations.
- Assist in generation of software requirements documentation for applications related to communication, project management, data collection and analysis.
- Write and publish accurate, up-to-date release notes and project/product overview documentation.
- Design, write, and edit user guides, online help, and training material.
- Generate screen-captured / video tutorials for web-based applications, including informational and engaging scripts.
- Develop company-wide technical documentation templates and help to ensure that the templates are used appropriately and consistently.
- Review/edit documentation produced by other writers and management.
Minimum Requirements:
- One or more year(s) experience in technical writing and/or content marketing.
- Strong knowledge and technical skills in copywriting and copy-editing (perfect grammar, knowledge of AP Style, voice & tone, proofreading experience, etc.)
- A deep passion and ability for all things copywriting and content strategy trends, philosophies, processes, best practices.
- Solid understanding of technical writing principles.
- Effective time management skills to meet multiple, competing deadlines on time in an agile software development environment.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent writing/editing skills.
- Strong attention to details.
- Ability to concept big ideas, execute the finished copy, and copy-edit others- work to make it better.
- Content strategy experience preferred (websites, brand systems, etc).
- Digital copywriting experience preferred (email copy, web copy, etc).
- Degree in writing or experiential equivalent.
- Ability to work well with a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary, fast-moving team.
- Ability to think holistically and work with designers and strategists to make your own work and theirs even better.
- Open to learning new tools and software
- Knowledge of / experience in data analytics a plus.
- Knowledge of content strategy best practices for websites, branding, and marketing/communications, plus the desire to grow these skills a plus.
