Position Summary:
This strategic, hands-on Contract Management Manager role is responsible for driving a key transformational
initiative in the Contract Management space for the organization, including defining & running key aspects of the
contract management function within the organization, establishing an effective / regular governance cadence and
collaborating with the BU counterparts to institutionalize and drive value from the Contract Management function
within the organization. Uses critical thinking, data analysis, research and contract compliance knowledge to
provide outstanding stakeholder service and operational excellence
The program offers a multitude of opportunities to individuals with diverse experience in contract management
and the ability to adapt to the changing landscape of the program to further contribute towards the organizations
vision and success.
Key Responsibilities
Is responsible for developing & implementing Contract Management processes to meet the organizational
objectives
o Contract lifecycle management support to business teams ensuring all contract management
activities are conducted in accordance with corporate/business area and division policies including
company procedures and the contract management framework.
o Ensure Quality parameters are adhered
o Partner with business teams to build industry expertise and develop contract management solutions
o Ability to manage cross functional team and establish close working relationships with internal
stakeholders
o Standardized & consistent contract management methodology
o Champion process, policy changes to drive adoption through value development of Contract
Management
o Spearhead initiatives to enhance awareness and conduct education / training sessions for knowledge
building / sharing around Contract Management Program
o Documenting quality and leverage use of technologies and analytics in the contract life cycle
management
o Expected to innovate and improve upon current processes and delivery methodologies.
Work closely with the Business Teams and Corporate Functions
o Work with business teams to assist with day-to-day contract management support and to
understand business requirements
o Serve as an in-house subject matter expert for the account team reviewing, analyzing and extracting
key data points from a wide range of contracts
o To enhance the value proposition within the Contract Management offerings through continuous
dialogue with account team members and BU leaders
o Accept & action feedback from the business teams on the Contract Management processes
o Consolidate views on key areas / building blocks which need greater executive attention / process
strengthening
o Demonstrate the value of the contract management function with business and account leaders
o Point of contact for the account team to spot/address/escalate all subject matter issues
People Management/Development
o Supervise, mentor and coach junior team members to ensure most effective utilization of resources
o Assist with assessing training and education needs for junior team members
o Contribute to development and delivery of contract/commercial training modules for contract
management
o Responsible for contributing to the recruitment process.
o Drive process efficiency to current tasks and seek innovative ways to improve performance of the
team
o Assist in creating/maintaining periodic reports and trackers and engage in various reporting activities
within CLRM
Risk Management
o Identify contract and commercial risks and issues and propose appropriate mitigation strategies or
solutions for leadership approval
o Provide professional support with regards to analyzing contractual terms to identify potential risks,
and draw up risk mitigation plans
Skills required
Ability to build collaborative relationships with team members, business units and corporate functions
Strong Business & Financial acumen
Wide base of exposure / experience across Contract Management & Shared Services environments within IT
services
Good working knowledge of the fundamental legal and commercial contractual provisions.
Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal to no supervision
Knowledge of Contract Lifecycle Management technology is attractive. Knowledge of market standards with
respect to various contract platforms and artificial intelligence
Technologically minded, with the ability to learn/ adopt new systems quickly and a real passion for
innovation, data and continuous improvement. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word,
Excel) is essential; advanced skills would be preferred.
Qualifications (Education, Experience)
At least 10-13 years of relevant global and domain expertise in a Contract Management environment for a Tier 1 IT
Services firm or Fortune 500 Company
Should have deep understanding and knowledge of end-to-end Contract Management with skills in people
management
Should have experience in the IT Services industry.
