Job Description
CACTUS is a remote-first organisation and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. You may be required to travel to our Mumbai office based on business requirements or for company/team events.
We are looking for Contractor, Video Editor/Animator to develop appealing story in a unique way and correctly express the words and feelings the writer is trying to convey in the script.
Many times it’s easy and more appealing to narrate a story through audio-video medium with art of storytelling. Animated graphics and motion visual appeals far more then long written content.
Responsibilities
• Taking brief from stakeholders. Understanding the deliverable and recommending / solving the problem through pitching in good ideas to communicate the point across with powerful film/animation/audio-video.
• Ability to express the written script through unique audio-video/animation.
• Making complexed messages more appealing and emotional.
• Have a mindset to tell a story in a unique way and correctly express the words and feelings the writer is trying to convey in the script.
• Following a script, screenplay or outline
• Input sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs.
• Input graphics to enhance footage.
• Digitally splicing film and video and synchronizing them into one rough cut file.
• Working closely with writer and art director to present a final product that matches his or her vision.

Qualifications and Prerequisites
• Possess 4 – 6 years of experience with advertising agency or film firm.
• Completed graduation in Multimedia, Video Editor.
• Good training in multimedia and communications helpful.
• Proficiency in editing software programs specifically Adobe Premier Pro.
• Ability to take and follow direction, while also having a creative eye for improvements.
• Independent worker capable of managing project on his/her own.
• Ability to perform is fast paced environment.
• Should be able to handle work pressure.
• Positive attitude.
• Liaising between the marketing and design teams to ensure deadlines are met.
• Good command on English language.
