Contracts Manager - Motor Supply

The role

As our new Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for all contract management within the Motor Supply team, focusing on developing systems and the controls around contract management.

You will:

Support in the creation and execution of operational plans that supports C&A divisional strategic objectives

Take ownership of the Motor Supplier Contracts processes, including negotiations, drafting, administration, performance monitoring and disputes to ensure supplier performance, emphasising timeliness and relationship management

Communicate and manage objectives to achieve the Supplier Sourcing and regulatory requirements

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure contract negotiations meet their needs

Participate in sourcing exercises and negotiations for contracts and tenders to achieve the best possible commercial outcome while monitoring existing arrangements to ensure these are value adding

Continuously identify and implement improvements to processes to elevate customer experience, reduce risk and enhance our contract management framework

Conduct prequalification searches and due diligence referrals to the Investigations team

Liaise with contractors to resolve contractual compliance, operational and reporting issues, including collating all relevant documentation

Draft contractual breach notices to repairers and follow up on corrective actions

Drive best in class contract management, with a focus on developing strategic contracts enabling long term sustainability to the business

As the SME for Supply contractor matters, provide guidance to others, including training on best practices, while engaging in strategic planning

What experience you’ll bring

3-5 years’ experience managing contracts or relevant industry experience

Expertise in contract management, procurement, and/or compliance

Previous experience with contract management systems would be preferred with intermediate Excel skills

Excellent communication skills, with experience in drafting high quality & fit for purpose contract correspondence

Experience in building contract management frameworks

Demonstrated success at implementing & delivering on operational efficiency / business process enhancement initiatives

Attention to detail and analytical skills

Excellent stakeholder engagement along with strong negotiation skills
