We are looking for a Contract Operations Manager to lead all operational functions for our South Urban Branch based out of Dalgety Drive, Wiri in Auckland.
Leading from both ends, you will contribute to the workforce planning, budgeting, resource allocation and utilisation across rehab and renewal projects in aim to provide a more resilient local transport network.
Involved projects include road resurfacing, pavement rehabilitation, footpath upgrades, and asset renewals such as signs, markings, safety installations, and minor infrastructure repairs.
In addition to the above you will:
Deliver the operational workforce across resource planning, staffing, training, performance reviews, and professional development
Be involved in the variables of job pricing, materials, labour, plant resource and associated margin/profit calculations and performance reports, PNLs
Maintain healthy relationships with partners, clients and sub-contractors to deliver quality works cohesively through all communication and in person channels
Assure adequate resources and training are available for engineers to carry out the work
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in operational processes.
Promote and enforce compliance with Health, Safety - (HSE) standards and industry regulations
We’re looking for someone with:
5 years in Operations Management or a Senior Supervisory, Engineer role, within Civil Sector
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
Must hold a Class 1 Full NZ Licence
Good understanding of local govt contracts with technical ability to interpret plans, specifications and TMPs
Strong financial acumen in budgeting and reporting
Proven leadership experience in people management and resource management
