Location: Perth – Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people
Roster: Monday to Friday

This role leads contract and procurement activities across Fortescue’s Capital Sustaining Projects portfolio, supporting the delivery of critical construction works. You will play a key role in driving commercial outcomes through effective tendering, contract strategy and post-award management, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support end-to-end contract and procurement processes, including tender preparation, administration, evaluation and award in line with project schedules and governance requirements.
Review and endorse documentation, contract strategies and sourcing plans to optimise commercial, sustainable and community outcomes.
Provide reporting, analysis and commercial advice to support procurement and contract decision-making.
Administer contracts in accordance with contractual, statutory and Fortescue policy requirements.
Support contract drafting, negotiation and execution for works, services, capital equipment and materials supply.
Manage contract risks at tender and execution stages, including commercial, legal, financial and operational considerations.
Oversee Extension of Time, variation claims and payment processes to ensure compliance, minimise risk (e.g. SoPA) and achieve best value outcomes.
Maintain accurate contract registers and systems, ensuring compliance reporting requirements are met.
Provide training, guidance and upskilling to Contracts and Projects teams on processes, procedures and compliance.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective delivery across project requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Extensive experience (10+ years) in contract administration within mining, construction or major projects environments (SMP/EIC preferred).
Tertiary qualification in commerce, construction, business, law or a related discipline (desirable).
Strong understanding of contract management, commercial terms, legislation and risk management in high-value contracts.
Proven ability to manage multiple work packages and priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams (engineering, legal, project controls, logistics, etc.).
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to provide clear commercial advice and influence decision-making.
Self-motivated, proactive and accountable, with the ability to drive outcomes independently and as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, collaborative and respectful approach.
