Department: - Digital Business Automation (DigiBA) is a global function with over 250 colleagues based across 12 countries. We are responsible for defining and implementing the workload automation strategy for HSBC, and for ensuring our products and services are available, secure, and current in order to meet business demand and protect our customers. As part of our workload automation strategy we are seeking to maximize our exploitation of Control-M and develop solutions that empower IT and Business teams to optimize their workflow and processes. In support of these aims we are looking to recruit a Control-M Engineer for solutions development of the Control-M platform, incorporating new functionality and integrations optimising the benefit of the wider platform to HSBC.
In this role, you will:
• Providing production support / troubleshooting for Control-M application or infrastructure issues.
• Working with various application teams to provide consultancy on Control-M offerings.
• Create and maintain code in-line with Software Engineering best practice.
• Develop the Control-M infrastructure solution to support user’s requirements.
• Development of infrastructure code improvements
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Mandatory skillsets:
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Experience of supporting Control-M as administrator on Unix/Linux
• Good knowledge in operating system - Linux.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision (where required)
• Experience of using DevOps tools like. Jenkins, Git, etc.
Good to have skillsets:
• Knowledge of Agile ways of working e.g. Scrum, Kanban
• Experience of testing, evaluating, and deploying new Control-M functionality and / or fix packs released by the vendor
• Familiarity with Bash, Python or similar code
• Experience on Google Cloud platform with Compute Engine, Cloud SQL and Kubernetes
• Experience on Amazon Web Services platform with EC2, RDS and Kubernetes
