Oversee payments of all accounts; ensuring all accounts are paid on time.
Oversee accounts receivable and collections for cashflow management.
Oversee accounts payable including payments to vendors, bank loans, etc.
Cashflow forecasting; monitor cash and funding balance, keep an organized filing system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments, and debts.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with GAAP in a timely manner, complying with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances.
Lead the external audit process.
Ensure the firm complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements.
Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations.
Implement and maintain financial governance and internal controls.
Manage accurate balance sheet reconciliation processes.
Systems and Processes
Continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures.
Support system implementations.
Define, benchmark, and implement operational best practices.
Collaborate with cross functional financial and business functions
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting
CPA preferred
Technical/Soft Skills
Excellent computer skills;
Experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; Access, database, or other system knowledge
Knowledge of Workday preferred
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
Attention to detail
Experience
Ideal candidate has 15-20 years of experience
At least 5 years as a Controller in a large global company, preferably professional services
Leadership Skills
Able to work well with senior executives and team, as well as mentor/lead other team members
