Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting.

Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and California regulatory requirements.

Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies and procedures that ensure sound internal controls and compliance with federal and California state laws.

Lead and coordinate external and internal audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and schedules are prepared and accurate.

Ensure full compliance with industry-specific regulations, tax laws, and California labor code provisions (e.g., wage & hour, overtime, and payroll reporting).

Collaborate with executive leadership to drive financial strategy, guide decision-making, and support business growth initiatives.

Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency, cost management, and financial forecasting.

Supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staff, fostering a high-performance culture.

Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures.

Stay current on financial and accounting best practices and California-specific legislative changes impacting financial operations or employer responsibilities.

Pay Transparency (SB 1162):

In accordance with California Senate Bill 1162, we disclose the pay range for this role. Final compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.

Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or controller-level role.

Proficiency in financial management, accounting, and budgeting, with strong command of GAAP and internal controls.

Demonstrated experience with financial reporting, analysis, and the preparation of accurate financial statements.

Strong knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements, including California labor and tax laws.

Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments and with executive teams.

Experience in the construction, facility services, or real estate industries is highly beneficial.

Proficient in accounting and ERP software; QuickBooks, Acumatica, and Aspire CRM experience preferred.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Demonstrated ability to develop, document, and implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to drive process efficiency and internal control.
