Responsibilities
The primary objective of the Controller is to perform complex and financial administrative functions to facilitate operations within assigned department
Verifies daily cashier reports, counts cash/check drops and prepares daily deposit
Maintains House Bank, dispersing petty cash and performing random audits of cashier banks
Reconciles credit card charges daily for Hotel & Restaurant
Indexes and codes invoices via accounts payable software
Reconciles Travel Agent Commissions monthly
Accounts Receivable billing
Responds to guests' accounting inquiries, resolving complaints and/or making corrections as needed
Assist in preparation of budget needs and annual reports of organization
Maintains PCI compliance in all credit card and personal information that is stored for accounting purposes
Processing payroll bi-weekly payroll
May interview job applicants, conduct orientation of new employees, and assist with training programs
Maintains thorough knowledge of, and complies with, all company policies and procedures
Assists employees with inquiries about policies, benefits and other company related information
Maintain positive inner-hotel relationships with all hotel departments to expedite efficient communication
Attends weekly Staff meetings, and other meetings as necessary
